Feedback Requested

Writing is a mostly solitary activity. I write best in peace and quiet, with no one else around, so I can arrange my thoughts.

But at some point, I need help. I need to know if my idea is as good as I think it is, if my words accurately convey my thoughts, and if what I’ve written makes any sense at all.

Over the past few weeks I posted a short story in three parts. If you missed it you can find Part One here.

I got a few semi-anonymous “likes” but no real feedback. I’d really like to know what you thought. Did it make sense? Did it make you think? Did you like it? Did you not like it?

It doesn’t have a title yet; what should I name it? What do you see as the theme of the piece? What do you think it means?

Compliments make me feel good, but it’s criticism that will really help me improve it. Not just “I didn’t like it,” but what specifically didn’t you like and why? What was unclear? What was confusing? What improvements can I make?

You can leave your comments here, or on any of the three parts of the story. Or, you can e-mail them to me at

Thank you!
